Direct Primary Care is a return to the foundational relationship between a clinician and their patient. Instead of navigating the complex, restrictive rules of insurance companies, DPC operates on a simple, transparent monthly membership. This allows us to drastically limit our patient load, ensuring you receive unhurried, 60-minute appointments, direct-text access to your care team, and highly personalized medicine without co-pays or hidden fees.

While both models offer highly personalized care and greater access, the billing structures are fundamentally different. Concierge practices typically charge a retainer fee for "access," but they still bill your insurance for every visit. This means you are paying a premium while still dealing with co-pays, deductibles, and insurance-mandated restrictions on your care.

Our Direct Primary Care model is entirely independent of insurance. Your transparent monthly membership covers your primary care needs with us. We do not double-bill, and our only allegiance is to your health and longevity.

Yes. Safahla Medical’s DPC membership is not a substitute for health insurance. We highly recommend maintaining a high-deductible health plan or a medical cost-sharing plan to cover catastrophic events, surgeries, hospitalizations, or complex specialist care. We view our membership as the ultimate foundation for your everyday wellness and longevity, while your insurance is there for the unexpected.

In many cases, yes. While legislation surrounding HSA/FSA funds is continually evolving, many of our members successfully use these accounts to pay for their membership or for wholesale labs and medications. We recommend checking with your specific plan administrator or tax professional for verification.

Because we have the luxury of time to deeply understand your baseline health, the goal is to prevent unnecessary specialist visits. However, if you do require a specialist, we will coordinate your referral. Since we do not bill insurance, you can simply use your existing health insurance for those specialist visits, imaging, or hospitalizations just as you always have.

• Essential Wellness ($150/month): The foundation of our private care model. This tier ensures you are never left waiting, offering direct-text access to your clinical team and decreased wait for primary care appointments.

• Integrative & Metabolic ($300/month): The fusion of primary care and proactive wellness. This tier includes all Essential benefits, plus an annual comprehensive hormonal and nutrient panel to deeply analyze and optimize your long-term vitality.

• The Safahla Bespoke ($600/month): Our most exclusive, white-glove wellness partnership. This encompasses all Signature benefits, elevated by the ultimate convenience of private home visits and quarterly IV or regenerative therapy sessions.
